ICE Fatally Shoot Unarmed Woman

DHS Statement brought into question as video provides a direct contradiction to official statements. WARNING: Content may be disturbing to some viewers.

Minneapolis, MN — An as-yet unnamed motorist was shot point blank by ICE agents, who confronted her and attempted to force entry into her car. The agent fired three times directly through her windshield. ICE do not have the legal authority to detain US citizens.

Bystanders rushed to offer assistance, but there was nothing that could be done. Paramedics pronounced her dead on-scene.

Witnesses continued to record the events as they unfolded.

This video directly conflicts with the Department of Homeland Security’s statement made earlier. DHS claimed the woman attempted to ram her vehicle into a group of agents unprovoked. Video evidence shows that the agents approached her first. It is not clear whether the agents had the legal authority to attempt to take her into custody or open her car door.

The victim has been identified as Renee Nicole Good, a legal US citizen. Christopher Wiggins of Advocate.com reported that Good’s wife was in the SUV with her. She was not a legal observer, as was previously reported by many outlets, including this one. Good was a concerned citizen who opposed the idea, as many do, that people should be rounded up with brute force and hostility because of their race or ethnicity.
