Structures In The Wild Rebrands To Math City Times
Alexandria Rose was determined to write long-form essays on topics related to Urban Sociology. In the process of witnessing noteworthy events and writing content about them, Alex’s mission changed.
Math City Times’ New Logo. Although its identity has changed from Structures In The Wild, Math City Times’ commitment remains as it was: Accurate, complete coverage of events published accessibly for the masses.
EUCLID, Ohio — When she first set out to write on Substack, Alexandria Rose was determined to write long-form essays on topics related to Urban Sociology and walkable cities. Her passion for urban landscapes full of thriving green architecture and ecosystems could fill novel-sized volumes. Along the road to writing her first essay for Structures In The Wild, she had an opportunity to attend a city council meeting in Lakewood. The events she witnessed there compelled her to write her very first article instead.
Captivated by a rather unexpectedly progressive city couincil meeting, Alexandria Rose became possessed by the compulsion to get the story of Lakewood, Ohio, into the spotlight. Although her article had much to do with city accessibility and efficient walkable planning — topics close to her heart — it was the joy of the process of collecting the thoughts of others and educating as well as informing that made her consider beginning to report the news.
From humble beginnings, Structures In The Wild has strived toward the goals of empowering Ohioans with the knowledge and information to hold their leaders accountable. That mission, Alex feels, should be reflected in the name and image of the publication. Therefore, let it be known that, while our URL will remain the same until January 2026, Structures In The Wild has rebranded.
With the change in identity also comes the launching of our subscription packages, available monthly or annually. While these subscriptions do not unlock any content — No article here will EVER be paywalled — these optional contributions will empower us to grow our presence in the local scene. Available as a $5.00/month or $50.00/year subscription.
The Founder’s package is a way to make a serious impact on our ability to report the news. Available as an annual pledge of $200.00/year, founders of Math City Times are empowering larger purchases, such as improved audio recording, writing, and camera equipment. Founder pledges will enable us to expand our video journalism and cover travel expenses to report on events around the state of Ohio and beyond. As a bonus, Founders will receive a quarterly statement about the growth and progress of Math City Times, giving an insight into how their support enables and empowers us, and therefore, our subscribers.
Although its identity has changed from “Structures In The Wild”, Math City Times’ commitment remains as it was: Accurate, complete coverage of events published accessibly for the masses.
Thank you for joining us on this journey.
Sincerely,
Alexandria Rose ♥
